The Story
"Well," the Owner of the Estate begins, "this castle's history goes back a very long time. It was a concept in my mind for many years, but one that I never had the guts to pursue until now. I assumed that my lackage of knowledge in designing and maintaining such a place would cause it to inevitably end up a complete disaster. Then one day, I finally worked up enough courage, and well, here it is. I wanted this place to be unique, a far cry from every other "homestead" out there. I designed this place to be a fully interactive, yet simplistic journey through an actual castle, and a breath of fresh air from every other "point and click" site out there. As you navigate my castle, hopefully you'll get the feeling that you're not just mundanely traversing through my page, but that you're actually a visitor to an ancient castle, and naturally, I am the "Owner of the Estate" in question. This page is full of mystery, and exploration, and hopefully, it's shining through in every room that you visit. In some rooms, whenever you visit them twice, or even three times, different things happen in response to the way you've navigated the site so far, just like a real person going through a real castle!! Yes, this is very labor intensive for me, but I do it willingly. It's a burden I willingly accept. (read:"I love you guys!!!") Also, some pages serve double purposes, i.e. an exhibit of my personal interests, and hobbies. At heart, I am a writer, and I intend to display a few of my works for anyone to review, possibly in my study, and the archives will naturally be my library. The Main Lab is where you will have the opportunity to see the work in progress, as well as get into the story yourself!! Wanna know how? Well, when you finish with this, the lab'll be a perfect place to find out!! Other rooms should contain other surprises as well. I can't list them all now, but I promise that this place will be one to look out for. My inspiration when I designed this place might surprise you. Then again, perhaps it won't. Either way, it was comic books. Since I was young, i've always loved to read them. So this place manifested itself from my fascination with the "mad scientists" of yore, those downtrodden, cranially bulbous, and vertically challenged guys who were determined to let the world know that they're inherently brilliant, and underappreciated for their talents. It might strike someone as kinda odd that even though I always rooted for the heroes, when the time came i'd choose to portray the villain but well, to put it quite bluntly, $#!+ happens. Anyway, I think you'll find this place really cool, and unique. (Hopefully!!!) My dream is to work in comic books sometime in the near future, as both the writer and artist, if I can ever get my skills in sketching up to par. This seems to me almost a perfect forum to display my talents with the written word. If I had a scanner, i'd show you a few drawings of some of my characters, but alas I don't. See previous line to know why it happened. And perhaps, by some spacial anomaly, maybe some great comic creator will see my work, and give me a gig writing the guys that I love. ATTENTION:ALL COMIC CREATORS!!!! Until then, i'll be here, watching my characters flourish, born into the world that I made, and hopefully, you'll all be there, watching as well. "Ahh, yes." you chime in. "I believe I will."
"Oh, and one more thing." the Owner chimes in.
You lift your eyes to meet his. "Yeah?" you say. "What is that?"
"There are five names you need to remember. Jahi, Keili, Maya, Jakan, and Quan. Remember those names, you will see them again." (Perhaps, in lights!!!)
"Ahh, yes, alright." you nod willingly, though not fully understanding the Owner's cryptic last few comments.
"Now then, is there anything else you want to ask me?" the Owner says.
What will you say?
Nahhh, I.....ummm.....No, I don't have anything else to ask.
